It took me eons to finally get to a day where I can write a blog post called "A Day In The Life of a Music Maker" and be proud and completely lit up by the work I am doing and with whom I am doing it with. I wish Cheryl-of-ten-years-ago could have run into the today Cheryl because I would have kicked my butt. This is getting confusing. But the gist is, I've gotten real training and clarity on what it takes to craft a creative career. And it's never perfect, consistent, or predictable (not the way my type-A personality would like). That's why I am here. To be able to continue to share the process of being a full time musician while working the new digital age.
When I was trying to get started, there weren't any other musicians openly sharing their mistakes, tips, and advice. Just lots of books by lawyers or label execs who didn't understand the lifestyle of touring songwriters, nor the need to wear many different hats to make ends meet. So. Many. Hats.
So in 2008, (at which point I had made two records and was regularly performing around the USA and Europe with my band) it started with a blog, Living on Gigging, which recently was named one of the top 100 Music Industry Blogs by Musicians Empowered. And then it turned into getting asked to speak at the Millennium Music Conference, where Lou Plaia (co-founder of ReverbNation) told me I should write a course, which I did. And the rest is history!
This is a subscription course- you get time WITH ME to really step up your career which includes access to my other courses, monthly calls with me, and so much more. Some of my courses go for 4-figures, so to get ongoing support and access to me and this amazing community month after month is invaluable. I'm so excited to have you a part and see how your career will take off!

As a freelance film/commercial composer and an indie singer/songwriter, Cheryl had to learn how to effectively run her own music career through trial and error. After becoming a creative career coach, she took her years of experience as an entrepreneur and musician and documented her processes, mindset exercises, and money-making must-haves for other musicians and compiled it all in this course!
In her own music career, Cheryl has released four piano-pop records, toured the globe with her band, fully-funded 2 records (raising over $20k each) and has written music for nationally-airing ads like Honey Nut Cheerios and Lowes. She graduated from Cornell University and studied orchestration at Juilliard School of Music. She lives in the Hudson Valley with her mountain-guide husband Silas and basset hound Oliver.
